<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The engine has two cylindrical guides (F) located on piston rods (T). Two cross-beams (V) or two connecting rods (P) connected with a tie bar (L) such that rotating movement of the cross-beams is precluded. Two crank connecting rod-mechanisms are positioned on an entire shaft (W). Each connecting rod is coupled with one of the cross-beam. The rod-mechanisms are coupled with a starter i.e. booster, by the shaft and with cam shafts (N) by a gear wheel belt drive (ZR). Pistons and a component of a gas exchange system are arranged in cylinders (Z) such that four different cycles are proceeded. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Free-piston engine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The arrangement of the engine stabilizes piston movements in an easy manner, and enables simple starting with stable operation and four-cycle operation or two-stroke operation with controlled valves. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a front perspective view of a free-piston engine.
