PURPOSE: A rack and pinion type steering device is provided to reduce a torque change occurred by a calking load of a ball housing, and to prevent noise occurred by abrasion of a ball seat. CONSTITUTION: A rack and pinion type steering device comprises a ball housing(310) and a ball seat(320). The ball housing is coupled with the end of a rack bar(230) in which a rack is formed. The ball housing has a mounting groove(315) coupled to a tie rod(110). An opened part is formed on the inner surface of the device to cover a ball part of the tie rod. The ball seat is formed in a spherical form. Multiple protrusions are protruded from the outer surface of the ball seat. |
