<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce influence of a pixel defect of an imaging element and to obtain an image of high quality with an imaging apparatus having the imaging element which can individually acquire the image passing through a different pupil region. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes pupil division means which limits luminous flux of an optical image of a subject, which is made incident on respective pixels of an imaging element, to luminous flux from a specified pupil region of a photographing lens and stores information on a pixel defect of the imaging element and information for determining an incident angle of the optical image to the respective pixels of the imaging element. The imaging apparatus sets an image generation position where a reconstituted image is generated from an image signal; shifts the image signal in accordance with a shift amount determined on the basis of the image generation position and information for determining the incident angle; corrects a defective pixel by using the shifted image signal in accordance with pixel defect information; and generates an image corresponding to the image generation position from the corrected image signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
