The electrical machine (1) has a housing (2) that is provided with bearing plates (4) with bearing bore (5) for supporting rotor shaft (3). The bearing plates are associated with control electronics (15) for operating the electrical machine main portion. The control electronics has a position sensor (20) which is fixedly provided on base portion (18), for detecting the angular position of rotor shaft. A centering sleeve (21) is guided in the area of bearing bore, and is firmly connected to the base portion in radial direction.
