A proppant storage vessel (10) has a first container (1.2) with an interior volume (14), and a second container (16) supported in spaced relation above the first container. The first container (12) has a bottom hatch (22) affixed to a bottom wall (20) thereof. The bottom hatch (22) is movable between an open position and a closed position. The first container (12) has m opening at a top wall thereof. The second container (16) has bottom hatch (28) formed on a 'bottom wail thereof. The bottom hatch (28) of the second container (16) is aligned with the opening of the first container (12) such that a proppant in the second container can flow through the hatch thereof into the interior volume (14) of the first container. Each of the containers includes first, second, third and fourth inclined surfaces positioned m the interior volume and extending from the respective side walls and end wails thereof toward the bottom hatch. |
