<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide member that can prevent plastic deformation of a roller even when a high load is instantly applied, and to provide a linear guide with the guide member. <P>SOLUTION: A cylindrical roller supports a slide table when no shock is applied to a linear guide.
