<p>[Problem] To provide a polarizing plate that can suppress the occurrence of brightness unevenness during panel display by a liquid crystal display device, has superior reworkability during production, and moreover can achieve increased thinness of the liquid crystal display device. [Solution] The polarizing plate has a stretched laminate body resulting from a directly laminated body of a hydrophilic polymer layer and a substrate layer being subjected to stretching processing. Also, the polarizing plate has the characteristics that a dichromatic substance is adsorbed to the hydrophilic polymer layer configuring the stretched laminate body, the thickness of the hydrophilic polymer layer is 2-10 mum, the thickness of the substrate layer is 5-30 mum, and the moisture permeability of the substrate layer is at least 130 g/m2/24 h.</p> |
