METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR FEEDBACK AND SIGNALING MANAGEMENT

Systems and techniques for managing feedback and signaling management in a wireless network. UEs belonging to a network are provided with almost blank subframe information and provide channel quality feedback information to base stations. The channel quality information may be calculated best and worst case channel quality information. A base station receiving channel quality information feedback performs channel quality information derivation for each possible case defining configuration of almost blank subframes by nodes of a coordinated multi¬ point set. Configuration of almost blank subframes or normal subframes may be scheduled for the set by choosing the case that maximizes overall weighted throughput.
