The device (1) has a flexible diaphragm body (5) arranged between head pieces (4a, 4b) of a membrane actuator (2) i.e. drive unit. The diaphragm body engages forces at the head pieces and encloses a working chamber (7) connected with a fluid channel (8) for supply and/or removal of a work fluid. The diaphragm body is externally enclosed coaxial to a major axis (3) by a return spring unit (12). The return spring unit extends between the two head pieces and pretensions the head pieces continuously in a direction of an approximated basic position.
