DAMPING APPARATUS FOR OFFSHORE STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A buffering device for a marine structure is provided to prevent an increase of relative motions of a transport ship and the marine structure caused by waves generated between the marine structure and the transport ship. CONSTITUTION: A buffering device(10) for a marine structure comprises a wave reducing unit(13), a first buffering member(11), and a second buffering unit(12). The wave reducing unit is formed into a lattice shaped structure which becomes crushed when the waves enters into the inside of the structure. The first and second buffering members are respectively joined to both ends of the wave reducing unit for supporting lateral surfaces of the two marine structures.
