Provided are a data flow distribution method and device: obtaining the application protocol type of an IP data packet; performing first route matching between the first routing information of the IP data packet and a stored first routing information flow distribution table; when the matching fails, searching a flow distribution policy table according to the application protocol type of the IP data packet to obtain a corresponding target flow distribution interface; and transmitting the IP data packet to the target flow distribution interface. The data flow distribution method and device provided in the present invention can improve the data flow distribution efficiency.
