PURPOSE: A wastewater treatment apparatus and a method thereof are provided to effectively remove heavy metals including molybdenum using ferric chloride which is cheaper than calcium chloride. CONSTITUTION: A wastewater treatment apparatus includes a first mixing tank(20), a second mixing tank(22), a third mixing tank(24), a settling bath(26), a filtering bath(28), and a neutralizing bath(30). The first mixing tank mixes raw wastewater and ferric chloride. The second mixing tank mixes the mixed wastewater and an acid solution. The third mixing tank mixes the mixed wastewater and a coagulant. The settling bath settles the mixed wastewater and disposes the settled wastewater. The filtering bath filters remaining wastewater from the settling bath. The neutralizing bath introduces a neutralizing agent into the filtered wastewater for neutralization, and drains the neutralized water.
