An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to preventing a horizontal crosstalk due to a swing in a common voltage by adding a compensation signal to the common voltage. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(110) includes plural common electrode groups and plural common electrodes. Plural common voltage signal lines(CL1-CLk) are formed in a dummy region in the LCD panel outside an effective display region of the LCD panel, so that the common voltage signal lines are connected to the common electrode groups one by one. A common voltage generator(150) generates a common voltage. A common voltage compensator(160) amplifiers a feedback common voltage which is fed back from one of the common electrodes, and the common voltage from the common voltage generator at a variable amplification ratio and supplies the amplified result to the common voltage signal lines. A timing controller(140) controls the amplification ratio of the common voltage compensator according to a swing value of the feedback component voltage. |
