<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply an audio watermark to a movie film including a DTS(R) sound track. <P>SOLUTION: The method for applying an audio watermark to a played movie is achieved by selectively deleting one or more identifiers appearing in synchronizing codes in a sound track. A DTS(R) reader 104 transmits information to a DTS(R) CD player 106 by playing a film by a projector 102.
