An engineering mechanical vehicle, a vehicle steering following control system and a vehicle steering following control method. The system comprises a control valve group (10), a steering actuation cylinder (11) and a centering cylinder (12). The control valve group (10) comprises a servo valve (20), a solenoid valve (24), a hydraulic control check valve (21), and a hydraulic control reversing valve (22). The servo valve (20) is connected with the steering actuation cylinder (11); the solenoid valve (24) is connected with the centering cylinder (12). The hydraulic control check valve (21) comprises first oil ports (B1, b1), second oil ports (B3, b3), and control oil ports (B2, b2); the first oil ports (B1, b1) of the hydraulic control check valve (21) are connected with the steering actuation cylinder (11); the second oil ports (B3, b3) of the hydraulic control check valve (21) are connected with an oil returning tank (T). The hydraulic control reversing valve (22) comprises a control oil port (C1) and a working oil port (C2); the control oil port (C1) of the hydraulic control reversing valve (22) is in communication with a hydraulic circuit arranged between the solenoid valve (24) and the centering cylinder (12); the working oil port (C2) of the hydraulic control reversing valve (22) is connected with the control oil ports (B2, b2) of the hydraulic control check valve (21). Hence, fast response of the steering actuation cylinder (11) in following and steering processes is improved and meanwhile, a fast lockout function of the hydraulic control check valve (21) is ensured.
