<p>The weight adjustment method comprises diet therapy involving a limitation on food intake, which is realized by means of an automated system specifying a feeding regime and limiting access to a means for storing foodstuffs and to food intake, wherein an initial weight value is determined, a current weight value is determined within a determined time period, the weight or weight change value obtained is compared with a specified weight or weight change value that is required for the adjustment, and, depending on the result obtained, access to the means for storing foodstuffs and to food intake is provided for within a given period of time, if the specified conditions are met, or is not provided for, if the specified conditions are not met. Furthermore, the automated system for adjusting weight, which system limits access to the means for storing foodstuffs and to food intake, comprises a means for storing foodstuffs with an assembly for limiting the possibility of access to the means for storing foodstuffs and to food intake, which assembly comprises a system-based programmable information-processing and control unit, comprising a memory unit and a comparison unit, a weight-measuring device and a unit for inputting information on the specified conditions, wherein a locking device and a timer, the weight-measuring device and the unit for inputting information on the specified conditions are connected to the system-based programmable information-processing and control unit.</p> |
