PURPOSE: An apparatus for growing single crystal is provided to increase the generation of temperature gradient by using a first and a second crucible part made of different thermal conduction materials. CONSTITUTION: A holder(160) is positioned in the upper part of a crucible. The holder fixes a seed crystal. A first crucible part(111) surrounds a raw material accommodating chamber. A second crucible part(112) surrounds a gas room. The first crucible part and the second crucible part have different thermal conduction material.
