PURPOSE: A remote control system, a remote control device, and an operation method thereof are provided to offer an input interface including a selection button for enabling a user to input data. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(220) receives first menu item information transmitted from a target device corresponding to a control target. The communication unit transmits information for a menu selected from menus included in the first menu item information by a user to the target device. A display unit(230) displays a first image including one or more menus included in the first menu item information. A control unit(240) controls the display unit in order to display the first image by using the first menu item information. The control unit controls the communication unit to transmit the information for a specific menu selected from the displayed first image to the target device.
