<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch control device that can achieve the clutch engagement operation where the great shock is not caused regardless of the state of an engine in a drive device for a hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The clutch control device of the drive device for hybrid vehicle includes: a motor that has a rotor and a stator; a clutch that performs rotary connection and can switch connect/disconnect of the rotor and the output shaft of the engine; a stepped automatic transmission that is rotary connected to the rotor. When a clutch engagement command Cc is generated, and the difference rotation ΔN obtained by subtracting the engine speed NE from the motor rotation speed NM becomes the prescribed value N0 or less, and when the engine state is in idling or blowing up, the clutch engagement operation is started.
