<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve shared resource access efficiency of the entire system in an image forming apparatus having a plurality of internal buses with different transfer rates. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is provided, which has a plurality of internal buses with different data transfer rates. The image forming apparatus includes input/output means connected with an internal bus with a low transfer rate, a shared memory connected with an internal bus with a high transfer rate, and command control means for controlling a command to the shared memory from the input/output means.
