<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote effectively a desiliconizing/dephosphorizing reaction when performing a desiliconizing/dephosphorizing treatment on molten iron in a torpedo car, and to secure sufficiently a thermal margin for cold iron source melting. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for removing Si and P in molten iron by supplying a powdery dephosphorizing agent comprising oxygen gas, an iron oxide source and a lime source to molten iron held in a torpedo car through a blowing lance or a top-blowing lance, the oxygen gas ratio shown by equation: oxygen gas ratio (%)=äB/(A+B)}×100 (wherein, A: the amount of oxygen contained in the iron oxide source in the powdery dephosphorizing agent (Nm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>/min), B: the flow rate of oxygen gas (Nm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>/min)) is set at ≥80% during a desiliconizing reaction period, and at ≤60% during a dephosphorizing reaction period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
