摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of an image display device, capable of reducing display unevenness due to crosstalk having occurred, in the image display device having a passive panel for information display in which multiple pixels are set in one cell. <P>SOLUTION: The driving method is a driving method of an image display device in which a display medium formed as particles is encapsulated in cells formed by partition walls, between two substrates, and the display medium is driven according to an electric field on the basis of electrodes arranged at the respective substrates, to display information. In the driving method, the image display device includes multiple row electrodes extending in a row direction and multiple column electrodes extending in a column direction. When there are multiple pixels each located on a position where the row electrode and the column electrode intersect with each other, in one cell, voltage is applied to a first electrode and a second electrode adjacent to each other in the cell, so that the voltage acts on the particles, making the same be driven to the first electrode side or the second electrode side, after display of the last information is deleted and before display of the next information is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
