<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a composition for therapeutic and diagnostic use in the treatment of diseases and disorders caused by or related to amyloid or amyloid-like proteins, including amyloidosis. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided the new method and composition that elicit a highly specific and highly effective immune response in an organism, particularly in an animal, more particularly in a mammal or a human. The method and composition can prevent or alleviate amyloidosis including secondary amyloidosis and age-related amyloidosis or a symptom accompanying amyloidosis, which belongs to a group of diseases and disorders related to amyloid plaque formation, wherein the group includes diseases or conditions characterized by a loss of cognitive memory capacity such as mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and also includes, but is not limited to, neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease (AD). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
