<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved latch bearing. <P>SOLUTION: A latch needle 10 includes a pivot pin 27 connected with the latch 15 in a torque-proof manner, the pivot pin 27 having mirror-symmetrically shaped bearing heads 29, 30 on both sides of the latch shank 20.
