<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel adiponectin production promotor which has an excellent effect on the production promotion of adiponectin and has high safety and which is applicable to medicines, and foods and drinks. <P>SOLUTION: The adiponectin production promotor includes a cabbage or an extract extracted from cabbages. Alternatively the medicines or foods and drinks containing the adiponectin production promotor are provided.
