<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner in which dust is solidified and a dust collection chamber can be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes the dust collection chamber 15 that accumulates dust separated by a dust separating section 14 for dust-separating air containing dust suctioned by an electric blower 10, and a compression means 22 that compresses the dust accumulated in the dust collection chamber 15, in which a dust heating means 25 that heats the dust compressed by the compression means 22 is also provided. As a result, the air containing dust is separated in the dust separating section 14 by suction power generated by the electric blower 10, and the separated coarse dust and fine dust accumulate in the dust collection chamber. Then the dust accumulated in the dust collection chamber 15 is compressed by the compression means 22, and the compressed dust is heated by the dust heating means 25 and solidified in a compressed state as if ironed. Meanwhile, moisture contained in the compressed dust is evaporated and dried as heated by the dust heating means 25, thereby suppressing the growth of fungi and bacteria contained in the dust. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
