<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving separability between reduced iron and slag when producing the reduced iron and the slag which are obtained in such a semi-molten state that each of agglomerates is not completely molten. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a reduced iron and slag mixture, successively includes: a step of agglomerating a raw material mixture which includes an iron oxide-containing substance and a carbon material and further contains a melting point regulator; and a step of heating the obtained agglomerates so as to melt each of the agglomerates partially, and thereby reducing the iron oxide contained in the agglomerates. Heating of the agglomerates is carried out at a temperature lower than a temperature at which the agglomerates completely melt; the melting point regulator contains at least a CaO-feeding material, the amount of the CaO-feeding material mixed with the agglomerates being set so that a basicity [CaO/SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>] of the slag obtained from an amount of CaO and an amount of SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>in the agglomerates is 0.2 or more and less than 0.9; and a blending amount of the melting point controller is further regulated so that a melting amount of gangue contained in the agglomerates at a temperature by 100°C lower than the maximum temperature when the agglomerates are heated is more than 50 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
