Provided is a technology for producing a high-quality glass chopped strand mat exhibiting high functionality and capable of being used in a molded ceiling material for an automotive that is light weight and has excellent modern design properties. A glass chopped strand mat (M) created by forming glass chopped strands (S) into a sheet, wherein the ratio between the tension strength in the width direction and the tension strength in the lengthwise direction is set to 0.73 or more and less than 1.00 (width direction/lengthwise direction), and the tension strength in the width direction is 80 N or more in a tensile breaking test carried out in accordance with JIS R3420 (2006) 7.25 on a sample having a width of 150 mm.
