<p>Disclosed are a terminal access method and system. The method comprises: after a terminal accesses a network, according to a mode of the radio network currently accessed by the terminal, a functional entity on the network side starting a measurement preset for the terminal; making a redirection decision according to a measurement report reported by the terminal; and redirecting the terminal according to a redirection decision result. In the present invention, after the terminal accesses the network, according to a different mode of the accessed network, the measurement preset for the terminal is started, so that the terminal can access radio networks of different modes while ensuring service continuity. In particular, an LTE network can be preferably used as an access network for a multi-mode single-standby terminal or a dual-mode single-standby terminal, in which case advantages of the LTE network are fully utilized and characteristics of early coverage of the LTE network are fully considered, thereby achieving continuity of data services.</p> |
