<p>The coupler (10) has two chambers (16, 18) separated from each other by a piston (14) and filled with incompressible fluid. A connecting spacer (20) is fluidically communicated with the chambers. A controllable valve (22) is arranged in the connecting spacer. A bearing (26) is arranged at a piston rod (24), and another bearing (28) is arranged at an opposite end of a cylindrical base body (12) in an axial direction (a). A spring element (30) is arranged in one of the chambers, and is in direct active contact with the incompressible fluid that is provided in the former chamber. The spring element in the former chamber is designed as a gas volume with higher pressure and compressible fluid and made of elastomer. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a switchable stabilizer coupler.</p> |
