<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling lighting in an elevator car, configured to illuminate the inside of the car with constant illuminance irrespective of an individual difference of a fluorescent lamp or the like of a lighting system or external light entering the car. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a lighting system 2 provided in the elevator car to emit light toward the inside of the car; and a light quantity adjusting device 4 for adjusting a light quantity of the lighting system 2 while measuring the illuminance in the car, and maintaining the illuminance in the car at a predetermined target value.
