Disclosed herein is a spindle motor including: a shaft; a sleeve having a hollow cylindrical shape so as to rotatably support the shaft; and a base including a cylindrical support part and having the sleeve inserted into and fixed to a hollow part formed at the center of the support part, wherein the sleeve includes a sleeve upper end portion and a sleeve lower portion.
