A caulking gun (10) may have a tip cutter mechanism (56) that is supported to the body of the caulking gun and that has a blade (64) with a cutting edge. When the dispensing tip of a caulk tube is properly positioned in one of the tip reception openings (94) with respect to the body, the blade may be moved with respect to the body to contact the dispensing tip with the cutting edge and cut the dispensing tip of the caulk tube to adjust the amount of caulk material that is dispensed.
