<p>The side walls (9) of the main case body (3) of an inverter (1), which houses high voltage function parts such as semiconductor elements (5), are configured as a hollow structure. The hollow section (10) is filled with a liquid or gel insulation sealant (11a) to form an insulating substance layer (11). In the inner walls (9a) facing the insulating substance layer (11), spray ports (12) for spraying the insulation sealant (11a) are formed using easily breaking parts (13). When the main case body (3) is subjected to an external force (F) as a result of a vehicle collision, etc., the insulation sealant (11a) is sprayed, due to the elevation in internal pressure, from the spray ports (12) onto the internal semiconductor elements (5) and wiring, etc. to physically insulate same. The present invention is designed to thereby prevent leakage of electricity when the case of the inverter (1) is destroyed by a vehicle collision, etc., because the internal wiring, etc. is physically insulated.</p> |
