<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system of integrating baffles for the enhanced cooling of CMC liners. <P>SOLUTION: A system of integrating baffles for the enhanced cooling of CMC liners 300 and 700 is composed of a combustor assembly having a dome mount assembly 200, an outer liner 300 and an inner liner 700. Liners include those manufactured from and in a process for a CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite). One or more liner baffles 500 and 800 such as an outer baffle 500 and an inner baffle 800 are provided to reduce the lowering of pressure across the liner, allowing the addition of more cooling holes and thereby reducing cooling hole spaces while not increasing the required amount of cooling air. The CMC liners 300 and 700 are incorporated as desired to take the advantage of shapes and hole alignment which are made possible by using the conventional design of the CMC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
