<p>The invention relates to a sheet of paper having high resistance to wrinkling and folding, in particular for the production of banknotes, comprising a fibrous substrate impregnated, at the core thereof, with at least one hydroxylated polymer binder, characterised in that said binder and the fibres of said substrate are at least partially covalently bonded to at least one siloxane derivative. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing said sheet of paper and to the implementation of a silanol derivative involved in said manufacturing method as an agent for rendering said hydroxylated polymer binder insoluble. The invention further relates to a multilayer structure including said sheet of paper.</p> |
