The stator (1) has a stator ring (3) whose inner side is arranged with radially and inwardly directed carrier teeth (4) for accommodating coils. An interstice (9) between the carrier teeth on a radial outer side comprises a pitch circle-shaped, radially outwardly curved contour (11) with certain radius (Ri) that is non-concentric to outer radius of the ring. Thickness (B) of the ring at a narrow location is greater than a radially outwardly directed radial curvature of the interstice with respect to inner radius (3b) of the ring. Single slats are made of a punched sheet metal part.
