The gearbox (GT) has a gearbox input shaft (WGE), at which a drive unit (AG) of a motor vehicle is coupled, and a gearbox output shaft (WGA), at which an axle drive (AB) of the motor vehicle is coupled. A planetary gear set (PG) is arranged coaxially to the spur wheel sections (SR1,SR2). The gearbox has four switching elements (A,B,C,D). An electric machine (EM1) is permanently coupled at an element (PH) of the planetary gear set. The electric machine is coupled to the gearbox output shaft over the former spur wheel section, if the third switching element is closed.
