PURPOSE: A recovery system for an environmentally friendly elevator is provided to efficiently save an electric charge by reversely transferring remaining power in normal time to regular power or a KEPCO. CONSTITUTION: A recovery system for an environmentally friendly elevator comprises an inverter(10) and a power recovery device(20). The inverter controls the number of rotations of a motor including AC and DC input. The power recovery device stores energy consumed to the heat according to downward movement of the motor. When charging a battery of the power recovery device, the battery is charged through DC of the inverter in case of a reverse loading mode and is operated by DC inputting of the inverter in discharge of the battery or power outage.
