The arrangement has angles (120) spaced along angle axles (120A) and for defining a C-shaped channel (125). End plates (140) are formed along an end plate axle (140A) that runs normal to the angle axles such that the plates and the channels cooperate with each other to form an interlinking, box-like structure. The structure defines a volume to receive stacked battery cells. The plates are arranged such that the cells are arranged along the plate axle. An adapter plate (130) co-operates with the angles and the plates to form a fastenable connection with a primary support structure. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a motor car battery assembly (2) a method for assembling a motor car battery assembly.
