The arrangement (1) has a roof panel (4) comprising a smooth external surface for a roof outer skin and an inner surface (13) comprising a reinforcing structure (15) protruding reinforcing webs (16). The inner surface and the reinforcing webs of the reinforcing structure are covered with a planar deformation element (17) i.e. foam element. The deformation element comprises groove-like recesses for receiving the reinforcing webs. The deformation element comprises an integrated spacer (25), where the deformation element and the spacer are formed in a single piece.
