The invention relates to a protective control structure having a system (1) for energy dissipation, and to a method for energy dissipation, comprising a deformable elongated material strip (2) having a longitudinal axis (L), said material strip being integrated in a rope (3) that can be tensioned; and further comprising a deformation unit (4), which is also integrated in the rope (3) and which interacts with the material strip (2). The invention is characterized in that when tension is applied to the rope (3), the material strip (2, 2'), along the longitudinal axis thereof, can be linearly fed through the deformation unit (4), and can thereby be deformed. |
