PURPOSE: A garbage can with size-adjusting and compressing functions is provided to utilize garbage bags of various size for one garbage can. CONSTITUTION: A garbage can with size-adjusting and compressing functions comprises an X-shaped frame, a flexible spring type frame, a diamond frame, a flexible spring unit(70), a plurality of adjusting lever units(300), an upper circular frame unit(510), and a lower circular frame unit(520). The X-shaped frame is formed by crossing two frames into an X shape and hinge-joining the two frames. The flexible spring type frame is formed by hinge-joining the X-shaped frame with one X-shaped frame or a plurality of the X-shaped frames in the upper and lower parts. The flexible spring unit is formed into a cylindrical shape or a polygonal shape by hinge-joining a plurality of the flexible spring type frames with a plurality of the diamond frames. The adjusting lever units adjust the position of the frames, thereby adjusting the size of the garbage can.
