<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition that is useful as a product for skin disinfection. <P>SOLUTION: The antimicrobial composition includes: (a) a 2-5C lower alcohol present in a quantity of at least 35 wt.%; (b) an aliphatic component containing one or more free hydroxyl groups, selected from the group consisting of a 12-21C aliphatic alcohol, a 12-21C fatty acid ester, a 12-21C aliphatic ether, a 12-21C fatty acid amide and all combinations thereof; (c) a cationic antimicrobial; and (d) a skin softening agent ester selected from the group consisting of a diester of a divalent acid, a triester of citric acid, a diester of a diol, a triester of a triol and the combinations thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
