<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer which is reduced in size than ever and has high sound deadening effect of ultrasonic wave noise, and an ultrasonic flowmeter with the silencer. <P>SOLUTION: A silencer 10 includes a silencing cylinder 11 which is connected to a pipe 90 and in which a fluid flows. A boundary opening 12 which is smaller than the inner sectional area of the silencing cylinder 11 is formed in a boundary wall 11K of the silencing cylinder 11 at an end on the opposite side from an ultrasonic flowmeter 80. Inside the silencing cylinder 11, a first center obstruction plate 61 facing the boundary opening 12, and a pair of first side obstruction plates 71, 71 facing a pair of side openings 61A, 61A formed between the first center obstruction plate 61 and an inner surface of the silencing cylinder 11 are arranged alternately along the axis of the silencing cylinder 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
