SYSTEM, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR PREDICTING FILE SIZE OF IMAGE CONVERTED BY CHANGING AND SCALING QUALITY CONTROL PARAMETER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict a file size of an image, which is converted by changing and scaling a quality control parameter.

SOLUTION: An input section receives (a) a file size of an image before image conversion; (b) information on at least one quality control parameter of the image before the image conversion; (c) information on at least one quality control parameter used for an image upon image conversion; (d) a scaling coefficient used for the image upon the image conversion. Relative size prediction is calculated on the basis of received quality control parameter information and the scaling coefficient. The file size of the image after the image conversion is finally calculated as a function of the image file size before the image conversion and the calculated relative size prediction.
