PURPOSE: A solar tracking device of a solar power generator is provided to improve a solar tracking performance by changing various solar tracking modes automatically depending on the amount of solar radiation and weather situations. CONSTITUTION: A solar tracking device of a solar power generator(100) comprises a solar radiation measurement unit(101), an environmental control and measurement tracker(102), a program tracking unit(103) and an optical sensor tracker(104). The solar radiation measurement unit measures the amount of solar radiation and a change of solar radiation at predetermined time intervals In case the amount of solar radiation is less than a first predetermined value, the environmental control tracker is operated. If the wind speed is strong, the environmental control tracker operates a solar heat/light collector(108) horizontally with respect to the ground to reduce an effect of the wind. In case the rainfall is heavy, the environmental control tracker operates vertically to protect the solar heat/light collector. The program tracking unit calculates and tracks a location of the sun based on the movement-relation between the sun and earth. The optical sensor tracker is operated when the amount of solar radiation is more than the first predetermined value and a change value of solar radiation is less than a second predetermined value. |
