<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve torque characteristics of a rotary electric machine by effectively using magnets, the rotary electric machine comprising a stator that includes stator windings for generating revolving magnetic field, and a rotor that includes other windings and rectifier elements. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a rotary electric machine 10, comprising: a stator 12 having stator windings 14 generating revolving magnetic field; a rotor 20 having salient pole parts 22 at a plurality of positions in the circumferential direction, the salient pole parts 22 being a plurality of L large magnetic paths that are magnetic paths where the inductance is higher; a plurality of rotor windings 40 that are wound around the L large magnetic paths as winding magnetic pole portions, induction current flowing in the rotor windings 40 by the interlink of the revolving magnetic fields; diodes 42 that are a plurality of rectification portions connected to each of the rotor windings 40 so that the direction of the winding magnetomotive force becomes alternately different in the circumferential direction of the rotor 20, the winding magnetomotive force being generated by the induction current in the winding magnetic pole portions; and a plurality of permanent magnets 30, 32, etc. that flow magnetic flux in the winding magnetic pole portions, the magnetic flux generating magnetomotive force whose direction is same as that of the winding magnetomotive force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
