The turbine (10) has two vents (22, 24) supplying exhaust gas to a turbine wheel (16). A control device (32) is displaced between separation and connection positions, and adjusts two flow cross-sections. The flow cross-sections fluidically connect the vents with each other in the connection position, and fluidically separate the vents from each other in the separation position. The control device variably adjusts a third flow cross-section, which is independent of the fluidic connection and separation of the vents, where the exhaust gas flows through the third flow cross-section.
