The cam follower has a steel sheet that is connected by a cross bar (16). Two mutually aligned recesses (18) are arranged in the side wall (15) for receiving the axle of a roller bearing. The cam portion (14) is provided with end regions (19,20). The dome-shaped mold portion (21) is formed in end portion (20) of cam portion. The cam portion is formed from a pressed sheet metal plate. A wave-shaped portion (22) is formed on the end portion (20) so as to support concave mold portion in end portion of cam portion.
